ABOUT ME

Jenna Willis, Compass Counseling and Substance Abuse Services

Are you tired of facing depression, anxiety, addiction or other challenges alone?

Are you tired of the pressure to have it together all of the time?

Are you frustrated with talking to people who just don't seem to understand you?

My name is Jenna Willis. As a woman, a mom, and a person who has struggled with depression, I understand how hard life can become. Finding the right help is the key to healing, facing your challenges, and stepping into your potential.

When you work with me, you work with a person who wants to understand your pain and help you heal. I am a National Certified Counselor, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, and a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist. I offer convenient online therapy services to people throughout the state of North Carolina.

I earned a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a certificate in Addiction Counseling from Appalachian State University in August of 2019. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of North Carolina Wilmington in 2016. Throughout my education and my career, I have worked with clients with addiction, severe persistent mental illness, anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and extensive trauma histories. I work with clients of all racial, cultural, and religious backgrounds and with clients of all sexual and gender orientations.

My therapeutic orientation is primarily person-centered. This means that during our work together, I will focus on building a strong relationship with you. Treating you with empathy and respect will always be my top priority. You have the innate ability to heal yourself. As a therapist, my job is to create a space in which you can focus on your healing and to offer guidance to help you find your way.

Mental health should be viewed holistically. Your mental health is just one aspect of your overall well being. That's why I may also encourage you to take steps to improve sleep quality, movement, nutrition, relationships, and hobbies. This will help you create a strong foundation for growth and happiness.

When you're ready to take the next step on your healing journey, please call me to schedule your free phone consultation.
